Depending on your project's size and complexity, you may require all of the services listed below.  Or ... you may only require assistance with some of these.  Please contact me to discuss your requirements and project details.

Design Meetings

Meetings with architects, designers, engineers and/or owners:

  • Establish project goals such as aesthetics, functional requirements, target light levelscontrols, code requirements, energy efficiency targets, etc.

  • Review preliminary lighting solutions and proposed fixtures/controls

  • Review final lighting solutions and proposed fixtures/controls

Computerized Photometric Calculations

Running computer calculations to verify interior or exterior light levels.  This includes calculations to verify:

  • Compliance with design intent

  • Energy code compliance

  • Compliance with "normal" and "emergency" egress lighting requirements (e.g., NFPA 101)

Lighting Plans and Specifications

Lighting plans typically show:

  • Luminaire locations

  • Fixture types

  • Control zone notations

  • Any required delineation of controls zones (such as daylight or occupancy zones)

  • Lighting control devices

  • Also provide written specifications and cut sheets for proposed fixtures
